How are the mobile app and web app different?
The mobile experience includes supported background SMS and notification link checks, QR link handling, manual checks, alerts and protection settings. The web workspace focuses on manual checks, news assessments, guidance and history. It does not monitor communications in the background.
Can Epoch AI read encrypted conversations?
Notification checks use content made available to the app through enabled access. Epoch AI does not decrypt private conversations. Coverage depends on what the messaging app exposes and the permissions you enable.
What happens when a result is inconclusive?
An inconclusive result means the content could not be verified. Treat it with care, check the source independently and avoid assuming it is safe. AI assessments do not guarantee that every fraud attempt will be detected.
